I purchased this laptop on the 13th of endure December, as a Christmas allowance for my 11 year old daughter. It ran about an hour afore it about started freezing and rebooting. I spent a anniversary aggravating to “fix it”, BIOS updates, Windows 7 upgrade, patches, etc.
Trying to get “support” from Acer is a nightmare. But I did forward it aback for “repair”, by the way if you wish to accumulate the aboriginal box don’t use it for shipping.
After their adjustment (replacing its memory) it came aback and still rebooted and/or froze … even while agilely sitting at the prom.
I accusation myself for purchasing the Acer, I took a accident that I’d get a alive arrangement … and I lost. As a computer architect with 20+ years of acquaintance I acquisition it amazing that this aggregation is still accomplishing business … it has to accept the affliction abutment accepted to man.
After the bootless adjustment I got a buzz amount from Google and batten to a reside animal to ask for a replacement. I was told that it is Acer’s action to NOT alter commodity for any reason.

Update (Jun 2010)
After sending it aback (again), and it’s continuing aberrant behavior, it was too much. It was still acting up, and my 12 year old babe “accidentally” alone it … now the awning is cracked. Can’t say it was abundant of a loss… able-bodied except for the money.
